The Ting Tings!!!

I have got a lot of favourite music video so it is difficult for me to choose one!!
This time, I will show you one of my favourite band’s video “Shut up and let me go” from the Ting Tings.
They are from the United Kingdom and also they are quite poplar in UK.
In Japan, Perhaps, you can hear their song on TV commercial. Their song, which named “Great DJ” is used by beer advertisement on TV.
In this video, they used kanfoo because they are influenced by China. The vocal girl was used to work at department store and her co-worker’s name was Ting Tings. She liked her name so they named themselves “Ting Tings”
On August, summer sonic ’08 was held in Osaka and Makuhari so they came to Japan and they performed some songs. Also, on September, this song was top 4 in UK hit chart. It’s really cute song. I like their fashion because it is cute and kind of original.
It was hard for me to catch words from this song but I like sounds and video!! The most favourite lyrics from this song are” I ain’t freakin’ I ain’t fakin’ this, I ain’t freakin’ I ain’t fakin’ this. Shut up and let me go. Hey!”

FILM UNIT

I liked film unit and I could learn a lot of things about film.
For me, it was difficult to make film because editing film is difficult and takes a lot of time. In spite of we spend more than 6 hours to make and edit our original film, we made 6 minutes film. I was surprised and I thought that to make 120 minutes film like Hollywood, it can’t be helped to take more than 6 months. However, I really liked making film. We made a script, story and we acted our own part. It was so fun!! Our team work was very good. However, we should have tried to speak English. I know it is difficult to talk about film and computer things in English. That’s why we studied about film. So I wanted to speak English more even it was difficult.
I really enjoyed each team's film!! It was so fun!! Each film has different colour. I liked Genzo's action and Part!!! He was absolutely a girl... Gay? He was cute!! I was surprised the film which was edited by Hiroshi. they had a lot of amazing effects.

Also, I could notice that I need to practice ‘shadowing’ practice because it was too difficult for me to speak like ‘Kiki’ and ‘Tombo’. It was too fast for me and I could find that how my speaking speed was slow.
I decided to speak more English in Music unit!
I’m sorry for we had spoken a lot of Japanese in Class.

ACROSS THE UNIVERSE

My favourite film is ACROSS THE UNIVERSE.
It set in Liverpool and New York in 1960’s and it is a musical and love story. There are lots of good points in this film.
This film shows us American society in 60’s, what the counter culture is and young people’s feeling.
Jude was born in Liverpool and he lives in small house with his mother. He worked at dockyard. One day, he quit his job and decided to go America to look for his father. He met a lot of people who is in different situation and they came to live together. He experienced lots of things in America.
This film was directed by Julie Taymor who is a woman. Also it has good actor. Jim sturgess plays Jude who is a main character of this story. He is good at sing a song.
Songs that used in this film are all Beatles!!! The story begins with this song “Girl”. Do you know this song? If you don’t know and you want to listen to it, please let me know. It has 33 songs from Beatles. If you watch this movie you can listen to a lot of good songs from Beatles.
Through watching this film, you will notice that some people speak British English and some are speak American English.
I’ve never watched such a great film, so please watch it!!!!

HIGH MOTIVATION!!!!!!!!!

this semester has gone like wind!!!!!!

Since I enter the KUIS, I could keep high motivation.

And I could know what is my week point about my English.

in Aplil... I was rushed because my friend in class10 can speek, read and write English very well. it made me disapointed(-_-;

i thought the life is not equal!!!

and i decided to go SALC everyday!!!

in MAY...I didn't get May Sickness!!!

I really enjoyed student life and BH and so on...

I really look forward to come to school everyday.

and i became SALCer and i started to study GRAMMAR

In June...I got June sickness instead of May Sickness...

I was lost my way... Why my English does't get better?????????????

in my brain... there were a lot of "WHY".

but I recovered!!! Beatls had recovered me...

NOW!!! I'm rushing again...

TEST...TEST...TEST... it makes me UTSU(-_-

but I feel good. I have a dream now!!! I really want to go Britain to study abroad!!!

I decided to take IELTS!!! this summer will be busy!! just doing my best to dream come true!!

I have high motivation!!!!!!!!

ACTUALLY
I don’t have any special plan for the summer holidays (-_-;

I’m going to study for IELTS!!!!!I really want to go to Britain!!!!
I’ll do my best!!!!!
I just worry about that, who will check my writing for IELTS???
Also I will study GRAMMAR!!! As you know, my grammar is terrible!!!

My part rime job will be busy!!!!
Maybe everyone in my class planning to go “there”
DISNEY RESORT!!!!
Am I right??I want to save money to go to Britain next spring☆so I’ll do my best!!!!!!!!

Mike Huckabee's lecture

I went to Mike Huckabee’s lecture.
It was little difficult for me because I don’t know political things.
Maybe he said a lot of political things…
If I had more vocabulary, I could understand more so it makes me feel I want to study English more and more.
He said, when he was child, the Beatles visited U.S. and he came to be interested in music and guitar. Even his family was not so rich, so it was hard for his parents to give him a guitar, on Christmas, his parents gave him a guitar and they paid little by little.
I was surprised, because in Japan, politicians are so rich since they were born. It said elite caste… or something like that, so I couldn’t believe he was poor.
Maybe he also said education has to be developing someone’s talent… maybe…
I think it is important thing. Everyone has their own talent. If their talent lost by education, what is left after that? I agree with him.
And I was interested in how students ask him questions. Every Japanese student ask him question like just ask, but Sam from U.S. talked with him like discussion. It was interesting. I thought there are differences between Japanese student and American student especially self-assertion…??
Anyway, it was interesting and if I have opportunity like that later, I really want to join and I want to get more vocabulary!!!!!!!!

Last Sunday, MY DREAM CAME TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I became a cast of Disney Sea!!!
Do you know S.S.COLOMBIA? It is a big ship which anchored in American Waterfront.
I’ll work at fancy restaurant in that ship!!!!

I’ve wanted to work at TDR since I was junior high school
SO!!!NOW I’m happy!
I feel I’m in heaven!!!!!

I took an orientation of TDR. What is Disney and How to keep MAGIC!!!
It was so fun and I respect Walt Disney’s way of thinking.
I want to make people happy!!!

There are 5 people who are working at TDR in class10!!
I thought it is popular part time job in our class that means I have 4 friends of TDR’s cast already!!!
What a wonderful things!!!!!!!!!!

I like ENGLISH!! I like DISNEY!!!
I decided!! I’ll do my best for both of them!!!!

BH☆SWEEEEEET MEMORY

I was looking fored to going BH since when I entered KUIS.

my senior told me that BH is a beautiful place so I was excited to think about it.

I went to Tokyo station with team SALC by train. The train was clouded maybe it was rush time, so I couldn't breathe enogh because of my tall.

when I got on shinkansen, I played "KOJIMA YOSHIO GAME" with Tomomi, Kaori, Seiko, Takuya and Hiroshi. It was so fun and we laughed a lot. If you want to play "KOJIMA YOUSHIO GAME" , I'll tell you!! and let's play the game!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I reached BH, I was moved!! The air was fresh and I felt I'm in England!!!

I've never been to England, but I watched country side of England, so I was excited!!!!!!

Lunch buffet was so good!! after that I choose a activity and I talked with Steave. his speech always makes me cheer up. I respect him. I was going to cry during his speech.After that we talked with Jennie and she was so fun. She told us about KUIS.

Dinner was delicious!! so I was happy!!!
After the Gakucho's speech, I hurried to go snooker's room with Miki, Takuya, Hiroshi. I've never tried to play Snooker since I was born, it was difficult for me, but Joe taught me how to play it, we could have fun!!!!

At night, everyone gathered in my room. We talked a lot and had fun!!!! I could know about everyone in class-10, so it was sooooo fun!!!!!
we stayed up almost all night!! I feel my friends more close !!!!!!!

HOW FUN!!!!!!

I was excited when I found my name on the board and that said I was going to belong to class10.

I wanted to make friends with everyone in class 10.

when I was high school students , I had a English class once a day or twice a day, but now I have English class at least twice a day.when I was high school student, I couldn't spend time to study English, but now I became university student, I can spend a lot of my time to study English. It makes me happy because I can speak and think in English all the time in KUIS and it's good for me to practice and study English.

when I finished first Reading class, I was disappointed because I couldn't follow class's speed and I didn't know what should I do, but my friend encouraged me and she said to me "Let's do our best ." and thought" I' ll never give up".

I decided to go SALC everyday to have English conversation and make friends with exchange students and I thought keep going there,it will help my English study.

Recently, I came to think " have to" means " want to ". Last week , we had a lot of HW for example, writing 2nd draft, kisoenshu report, FE's presentation and Reading HW.

I said to my friends " I have to study", " I have to prepare for my presentation", " I have to go Writing Center". I thought is not good way of thinking because I wanted to study English and that why I'm here and I'm a student of KUIS.

I had a fun time at presentation unit because I could know what everyone interested in and what everyone like.
I like FE!!!! I like CLASS 10!!!!

GOLDEN WEEK!!

In my high school days, I didn't have any days off count out Obon and New years days. I was in brass band club which practice so hard. But practicing clarinet was my favorite time and best way to play. So this Golden Week is after an interval of 3 years.

I have a lot of plan for Golden Week this year.

Everyone know that I love Disney. So I'm going to go theater to watch "THE LITTLE MERMAID" and maybe "FANTASIA" with my mom and sister. I'm going to shopping to Chiba with my best friends, go dinner with my family and so on.

there are so exciting plans for me!

But I have to go part time job 2 days. There is a lot of people who planning to stay abroad during Golden Week in Narita Air Port. So it will very busy.

I guess there are many chance to talk with foreigners! So I decided to talk with 15 foreigners at least at Narita Air Port.

And I have a examination on June 2nd. So I want to study English Linguistic 1day at least.

If I have time, I want to go my high school to meet my club's junior and teacher.

There are many things to do, but I'm looking forward to Golden Week. And I wish everyone in my class have a nice Golden Week!

English Experiences

When I was 5th grade in elementary school, I started study English at ECC.

I was interested in study English before start ECC, because my older sister went to there every week.

We read the textbook, play games, and practice English conversation every week.

It was so fun! I could learn English very good way.

When I learned the words "What's this?", I was so happy.Because it was first sentence that I

memorized.

Then, I entered junior high school.

I had a fan time at everyday's English class because It was easy for me to understand what

teacher's saying.

English class was similar to ECC's class, I thought.

And I came to like English more.

So I decided to enter Narita Kokusai high school.

When I was 1st grade, I was so frustrated because everyone in my class can English well.

We had a test once a week, had a homework everyday.If I don't finish the homework, I can't

follow the teacher and classmates.

My English teacher speak English for the end of class. It was so hard to me.

But I was so happy that I thought everyone likes study English and everyone thought improve

them English. It was very good environmental to study English.

So I decided go to short homestay program to California.

It was 2 years ago, but I still remember very well.

I have 4 hostfamily, mom, dad, and 2 sister, Dalia and Zaina.

They were very kind for me. They helped my homework everyday.

I was so happy and came to want to speak English more fluently.

Sometimes I went to visit Dalia's class and took them together.

And I was surprised that teacher's speaking speed was so fast and I couldn't catch anything what

he said.

The class was difficult to understand, but it was so fun because everyone in the class were

interested in Japanese.

Homestaying was very good experience for me. English only life was difficult for me.

However, I learned many things. For example, don't be shy and thinking positive way.

And now, I entered KUIS, I always speak English, think about English, practice English.

they are so fun.

I really want to speak, write and read English like native.

So I want to study English more.
