My favourite film is ACROSS THE UNIVERSE.
It set in Liverpool and New York in 1960’s and it is a musical and love story. There are lots of good points in this film.
This film shows us American society in 60’s, what the counter culture is and young people’s feeling.
Jude was born in Liverpool and he lives in small house with his mother. He worked at dockyard. One day, he quit his job and decided to go America to look for his father. He met a lot of people who is in different situation and they came to live together. He experienced lots of things in America.
This film was directed by Julie Taymor who is a woman. Also it has good actor. Jim sturgess plays Jude who is a main character of this story. He is good at sing a song.
Songs that used in this film are all Beatles!!! The story begins with this song “Girl”. Do you know this song? If you don’t know and you want to listen to it, please let me know. It has 33 songs from Beatles. If you watch this movie you can listen to a lot of good songs from Beatles.
Through watching this film, you will notice that some people speak British English and some are speak American English.
I’ve never watched such a great film, so please watch it!!!!

I don't know this movie, but it sounds interesting! But maybe I don't want to listen to Beatles songs so much these days because I had to listen to them so much when I was a child, so I guess all Beatles songs are pretty familiar to me!
I like the Beatles songs. they are very nice. it sounds a little od pop though. but i still like them.
hope you can go to Ribverpool and visit The beatles meuseum or something like that.
